What are the structures and components of the ring main unit?

The ring main unit is an important device used in the power distribution system. It is mainly used in medium and low voltage distribution networks to achieve effective distribution and control of power and improve the reliability and safety of the power system. 1. The main structure of the rmu

2. Main components of the rmu

The function of the rmu depends on a series of key components. The main components include:

- Load switch: The load switch is used to control and switch power loads. It is capable of carrying load current and cutting off the circuit when necessary. The load switch is usually equipped with an overload protection device to prevent faults caused by excessive current.

- Isolating switch: The isolating switch is used to disconnect the circuit during circuit maintenance or inspection to ensure the safety of the operator. The isolating switch is usually set in parallel with the load switch in the switch room and has a clear disconnection status indication.

- Circuit breaker: A circuit breaker is a protective device used to automatically cut off overload or short-circuit current. Circuit breakers are usually equipped with overcurrent protection and short-circuit protection functions to prevent damage to electrical equipment.

- Current transformer (CT) and voltage transformer (VT): Current transformer and voltage transformer are used to measure current and voltage and provide accurate power parameter data. These data are used for system monitoring and protection control.

- Relays and protection devices: Relays are used to monitor various states and parameters in the power system and send signals or trigger protection devices when abnormal conditions occur. Protection devices are usually used in conjunction with circuit breakers to provide more comprehensive protection functions.

- Operating mechanism and indicating device: The operating mechanism is used to manually or remotely control the switchgear in the Outdoor rmu. The indicating device includes current, voltage indicating instruments, status indicator lights, etc., which are used to monitor the status of the equipment in real time.

- Grounding device: The grounding device is used to connect the grounding of the equipment and the system to ensure electrical safety. It can effectively prevent static electricity accumulation and electric shock hazards.

3. Functions and applications of rmu

The electrical ring main unit realizes efficient distribution and control of power through the above structures and components.
